VULCAN STAIRWAY

In San Francisco’s Corona Heights, architect Ryan Borman collaborated with Dawson and Clinton GC on a single family home accessed only by stairway, creating a retreat set apart from the city below. The living area is defined by rolling steel racks that hold an extensive media collection, transforming storage into architectural expression. Belgian fumed black oak floors and an open primary suite frame panoramic views of downtown San Francisco. The interiors balance refinement with an element of the unexpected, where bold art and wild decor infuse the home with a spirit as unconventional as its hillside setting.
